Strange but true, I’ve been feeling the same way. I’ve yet to read ‘Plague’ even though it’s sitting on my nightstand because I am a bit weary of the whole series madness! Like you, I want to start reading more adult fiction, partly because I long for stand alone reads and partly because I just want to connect to the things that made me a reader in the first place, pursue the types of reading I did as an adult before I became a teacher of young adults.
That doesn’t mean I’m not going to read Insurgent, though. And Plague and probably Fear. And Crossed . . . But, I need a break from series reading.

Vow to comment more to let you know that inquiring minds really do want to know and that there are real people – not just spammers – reading your blog.

I can’t remember if it’s still in my twitter feed or not. The other comments on Goodreads, I deleted. I didn’t want negativity ruining my enjoyment of reading and talking about books.

BTW~ I almost immediately spammed your response until I saw it was you (and not the spammers who normally visit my site). How funny after our twitter exchange yesterday! Thanks for reading, Mardie!

The former is academic and adult. The latter is petty and infantile. Each is entitled to his or her own opinion, and when others challenge our opinions with intelligent counterarguments, everyone grows.

By the way, I looked for the response to your review and couldn’t find it. Did I miss it or did you delete?
